I've seen one at an air show. I guarantee I'd **** a brick if I was faced with one.
The question is, How effective are they?

The best of an AH-64 will be obtained in a battle for wich it was designed : anti-tank mission. But it is still an incredible fighting chopper against every target. Wheeled, tracked or foot.
The model D, (Apache Longbow) is able in less than 30 seconds to list 128 possible targets, class the 16 more dangerous to itself and begin to fire against them.

It's not the fastest helicopter in the world unlike the British Lynx helicopter but it is the best gunship helicopter in the world

Look at one, then you'll wonder why you even asked. And it is every bit as deadly as it looks. I saw a Mail Call episode where Gunny got to take a in depth look at their armament capabilities...in a word, AWESOME!
