Do you belive in tongues and use them in your dayly prayer life.
Personally I use tongues in my everday life to breakthru in the spirit realm.

100% agree with you. i luv praying in touges, so much easier than praying," in the name of jesus...." the whole day. it's like using a languege you don't know, it rules!!!!! i also belief i the spirit realm make break throughs just like you. (all the time)

Prayer is spiritual conversation from heart to heart, from man's spirit to the Holy Spirit.
But in the beginning, man may need tongues to go through the teachings and the revealed prayers from the One True God to learn about the language of the heart. The blind, the deaf, the unlettered can all silently pray in their private chambers.

tongues were originally used in the book of Acts to spread the gospel to people who spoke a different language. the greek word for tongues in the bible is always always always referred to a known human dialect. In 1 corinthians and acts, the meaning is the same. The way you can tell if it is fake or not is if you had to be taught how to pray in tongues. did someone teach you how to pray in tongues or did the spirit meet you during your prayer time and you started speaking a foreign language. Most charismatics today are taught how to speak in tongues. that is very different than what we see in bible.

Hopefully I am going to write this down and it will make sense, if not I apologize.
The true miracle in speaking in tongues is not speaking in gibberish, the miracle is in the hearing of the words. Let me explain: When Christ died and the apostles were in the house and the Holy Spirit came down on them, when they went outside to preach they still spoke in their original language. The people that were there listening understood what they were saying in their own language.
If I had the Spirit like they did, I could go outside to preach and I would be speaking in English, but the Polish, Italians, Mexicans, Russians would hear me in their own language. As I said, the miracle in not the speaking but the hearing. Just my thoughts.

The gift of tongues was a "sign gift". It is not for today. I was in and out of pentecostal churches years ago and did the so-called speaking in tongues until God showed me that it is really a form of self-hypnosis. Hypnosis is not of God. You're breaking into the spirit realm alright but they aren't the kind of spirits you want to be involved with. I'll pray for you.

hi. i can't pray in tongues on command the two (i've got prayed in tongues as quickly as, in my total non secular walk) & it relatively is nt as a results of fact i've got not asked God 4 it. notwithstanding He supplies diff presents 2 diff peop. The present i'd prayed 4 long b4 I knew bout the presents of the Spirit became into awareness. it is the present i needed & God supplies what u desire. Not every day- but I do believe in them and have been Baptized with the evidence of speaking in tongues by the Holy Spirit

Yes, I do believe in this Gift of the Holy Spirit but No, I do not possess the gift of Praying in Tongues. Not everyone is blessed with this gift of the Holy Spirit. I have other gifts I am blessed with.

Yes I pray in tounges, though it is not a gift that is given to all Christians, I wish I could remember where my husband and I read that at in the Bible--we were doing our evening bible study together the other night and it mentoned that-I believe it was in 1 Corinth. though
anywho-yes we pray in tounges here-even my 5 yr old son and my 11 yr old daughter does as well does as well and they also prophesy....the Holy Spirit will move upon whom He chooses...
