COMPLETE AND TOTAL SUBMISSION... LETTING GO OF YOUR OWN WANTS AND DESIRES SO THAT HIS PERFECT WILL CAN COME ABOUT IN YOUR LIFE-- THERE IS "PERMISSIVE WILL" AND "PERFECT WILL"-THE TOTAL AND FULLNESS OF A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM COMES WHEN WE ARE IN HIS PERFECT WILL...

The Mosaic law was kind of like our common or civil law and did prescribe penalties.

Jesus told us He did not come to destroy THE LAW but to fulfiil it.

He was very explicit as to what the law was suposed to be about. The first and foremost commandments - He says - are:
to love God, above everything else, and to love our neighbour (our fellow human beings!) even if the were our enemies!!. Any applications or interpretations deviating from these two are NOT VALID.

It all boils down to this: We need to examine our thoughts and actions and admit them to ourselves if they offend THE LAW.
We need to regret where we hurt others and ourselves, by what we did or what we failed to do.
We have to resolve to think and act right , or at least better, in the future.
We can then ask for forgiveness And forgive ourselves.

Compassion AND forgiveness are taught and recommended in many religions and by some our past philosophers. But it seams to hard to apply in our daily lives. That why so much misinterpretation is rampant.

By getting to know Him personally you will understand His Will.

Ways to get to know Him are: reading the Bible, experiencing the "Baptism of The Holy Spirit", talking to God, and expecting to get answers. Prayer is not a one-sided conversation. God has a Voice. If you listen closely you can hear Him. Sometimes it takes a while to learn to hear Him clearly but it is possible. And, very rewarding.

His Will is different from that of others because:
1) He is God...the Supreme Creator of the Universe and environs beyond that Universe
2) He desires the Highest Good for everyone. His intentions toward His Creation, Mankind, are loving. It is mankind who demonstrates violence, ill-will, anger and hatred.

God has created you with a divine plan and purpose!!! He has great things planned for you---once you get to know Him and seek Him, He will reveal to you those things---He knows what is best for you!!!

Read the BIBLE...pray and reach out to GOD the Father and to Jesus---for by Jesus' sacrifice you can now come into right relationship with God the Father--all you have to do is accept the gift of salvation!!! ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, accept that He died on the Cross for your sins, and paid the penalty once and for all!!! and dedicate to live for Him and walk in His ways!!!! His ways are perfect and right!!!

There is no one true religion- there is only God.

All religions are man made
and they are made so that man can relate in a mortal way to God.

God is of infinite intelligence
God is Omniscient
God is Omnipresent.
God is not a person nor persons he does not have a human form nor a human way of thinking.

Now man has several languages and cultures and man has several levels of intelligence and civilization. We have people still living in caves and eating dung, and we have people with Ipods and balckberries and laptops.

Now do think Infinite intelligence would make only one religion to reach all of us- over thousands of years ., do you think God would attempt to have a very specific message or a broad based message that anyone can undertsand and assimilate.?

Love your neighbor as you love yourself.
Love God and acknowlege him in all things.

simple , easy, and something a caveman can use.

Think about it, use your brain.....

hope this helps

More than most are willing to sacrifice, it seems!

As for God's will differing from anyone elses, I couldn't say, as I have never met it, so could not presume to know, although to speculate, I would say the transcendance from our material existence to a more ethereal state, could be our "saving grace", so to speak. Actually...no, that's not it, 'cos that's my will(without the God part, obviously)...erm...I suppose, it could be for mankind to realise that the material existance we are so fond of, is quite worthless in the big scheme of things and only goes to diminish our real capabilities as potential deific beings ourselves?

That's all on the assumption of God actually existing, of course, although thankfully, it does not depend on this God or Gods needing to be the War God of the christian religion.

Forgive all those who you believe have offended you. You will find this impossible, without his power to forgive. Don't judge people or God again...I know of no other, with this power, or intention...

Love, Jesus says of the two greatest commandments, love is the greatest. So, if you try your best to love everyone as brothers and sisters in Christ, you are doing God's will.

You must be born again.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,

This is done by accepting Jesus as your savior and repenting of your sins, and giving up your former sinful lifestyles and give total control of your life to Jesus.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The only way you can know what is expected of you as a Christian and follower of God is to read and study His word everyday.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

Always keep in communication with the Lord and not just when you get yourself into trouble. Talke to Him every day as often as you can. He is with you always, and just a prayer away.

Leviticus 26:3 If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

Deuteronomy 5:10 And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.

Remember that the commandments are not multiple choice.

Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

Do not cheat anyone out of a debt you owe them.

Exodus 31:14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

God wants us to set asside one day for HIm and keep it holy. What ever day you can keep as your sabbath, keep it holy, because that day is set asside for you and God.

Exodus 16:29 See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.

It is very hard to follow God's will to the letter, but He does expect us all to put forth the best effort we can give. He knows when we are really trying and when we are not.

Matthew 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

This means that we are to share the word of God with others.

Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

This includes saying the blessing before you eat any of your meals. We need to humble ourselves before God. For God is greater than we are, and His blessings will be greater for those who follow Him. Prasie the Lord!!
