Anyone know how or what you have to do to become a bounty hunter??? Is it like becoming a police officer and having to go to a school??? Just wondering............

You can get a certification and the class is not as long as police officers training. I would start by asking some of the guys who work for a bonding company and ask some bounty hunters. Its probably going to vary from state to state.

It is nothing like being a police officer, Bail Enforcement Agents while are licenced in some states in others they are not. There is in general very few laws that regulate them.
In most cases they have to be employed or contracted with a Bail Bondsmen and they have to have an active bond that has been voided that they are to find the person.
They don't go find criminals who do crimes, they find people who run out on a bail bondmen by not appearing in court.

Bounty hunters are officers of the criminal courts.
Typically, they are employees of bail bond companies.
I would start with the court system.

Call a couple of bail bond companies in the state you're in and ask them, every state is different. If you're a "Dog" fan, I wouldn't start the conversation that way, most of the bail bondsmen I know HATE that show!!! LOL
