There are some states that grant you additional tax discounts for raising livestock or crops on land....

Call 1 800 hr block and plug in your zip code to find an office.

Talk to that local rep and if necessary they will have the farm rep speak to you. They WILL know the answer to your question, or they will find out for you. N/C I suspect, they want your business.

Also maybe you could find the # for the local co-op, they will also know!...for sure!

contact an accountant and ask about a Farm/Forest Deferral in your state.
