The trouble is, anyone can set up an estate agency, You need no qualifications, experience or training. All you need is enough money to get started. That means a lot of estate agents aren't giving good service and are giving the industry a bad name.
So, it goes without saying that if you are thinking of going into estate agency work make sure you pick a good one. That means one that has been around for a good few years, and one that offers training. If they belong to the NAEA, and 40 per cent do, all the better. There are two types of training aimed at people in different situations. "Both are fairly new and both are doing a lot to establish nationwide training standards," . "This, along with the fact that we are lobbying the Government to introduce agency licensing, will make estate agency more professional." You could get a license but you don't really need one.

The ability to keep a straight face is a fundamental qualification. It also helps if you can live your life without the company of other people. A complete lack of morals would also be an asset. However don't despair, the job of Deputy Prime Minister could soon be vacant, and the above qualifications should get you the job.
