Even doctors can really say for a fact why some people get high blood pressure. They cite things like stress, anxiety, eating too much salt, heredity, etc. But some people experience some, or all these things and don't have high blood pressure.

Stress, overweight, obesity, salt, bad foods, and I believe it can be genetic. Here is one scenario, you can be stressing over death in the family, so you start to eat salty and bad foods, you become overweight and wa-la you have high blood pressure which can get so dangerously high that it is affecting your vision and causing you to have dizzy spells. i know someone who went through this.

kidney abnormality, tumor of the adrenal gland or congenital defect of the aorta. When the root cause is corrected, blood pressure usually returns to normal.

Lots of things can cause it...problems with the kidneys or heart, obesity, certain types of tumors, thyroid diseases, the changes in the blood vessels that occur with age, medications, caffeine, drugs (like cocaine, methamphetamine).
