Jesus asks the Lord to forgive those that crucified him, right? i think it's safe to assume that God answered this prayer(look who asked, right?). So if God forgave those that crucified Jesus, why on earth wouldn't he forgive all the good people that may follow another faith? Is following another faith really that much worse than calling for the crucifixtion of the Christ? C'mon people, you've been brainwashed!

God answers all sincere prayers although it may not be as we hope they would be answered, God knows best. Being good does not guarantee a place in heaven no matter what the religion. We need to ask for forgiveness through Christ who was the sacrificial lamb for everybody. Why is it because by choice and free will I have chosen to believe in The Bible and Christ that I am brainwashed? Have you ever considered that by choice and free will, that you may be brainwashed by what you have chosen to read and believe? God Bless!!

Jesus said (I didn't, He did) "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

Peter told the religious leaders of his day (those who had even participated in the crucifixion) "He is 'the stone that was rejected by you builders, which has become the cornerstone.' There is no salvation by anyone else, for there is no other name under heaven given among people by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:15)

Jesus also said (thru John the Beloved) "Outside are dogs, sorcerers, immoral people, murderers, idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood." (Revelation 22:15)

So, if these who knew best what it took for salvation (that is, being forgiven of sins), then they wouldn't have mentioned anything else being required, except for Jesus' prayer.

Those who trust in their own righteousness will be judged. The standard of that judgment is the Ten Commandments. Do you want to stand before a holy God on Judgment Day, asking that your righteous acts somehow make you worthy of eternal life? In Isaiah, God tells us what He thinks of our righteous acts:

"But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." (Isaiah 64:6)

No, it is only through the righteousness of Jesus Christ that one can be forgiven. Only those who recognize that they can do nothing on their own to earn it. Only those who know that they are completely helpless apart from Jesus' sacrifice, and not His prayer, can make it.

As long as anyone who trusts in themselves, or false gospels, or false gods, they are doomed. As Peter writes, "The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some people understand slowness, but is being patient with you. He does not want anyone to perish, but wants everyone to come to repentance." (II Peter 3:9)

No insult given. Just the truth.

Nice try, but that does not mesh with the rest of scripture. And that is how scripture is interpretted.
Kind of lowsy all those apostles getting themselves killed as martyrs for nothing.
Forgive them their immediate sin, that would be the best way to interpret scripture. Try hanging on a cross in Jesus place and see if you can say that. I don't think so

The Crucifiction happend for a reason. It served a purpose. Following false faiths doesn't really serve any purpose, especially not to God. It also never stated that they were forgiven.

No debate with this one. So, it goes also to say implicitly that followers of other religious teachings that are morally correct is acceptable to Jesus and should be with Christians as well then.
Take care.

Like I've said over and over before, everyone has a right to their own beliefs, and nobody knows till their time comes just what it is in store for them. It's got to do with how good of a person you've been in your life.
