I'm not sure where else this happens, but I have been wondering why White Male Mormons evangelize in Black neighborhoods?
Its really wierd for Black people to se White males in their neighborhoods carrying bibles and wearing TRENCHCOATS. Basically the first think I think of due to the media is that there is going to be a school shooting.
That's just a prejudice Blacks have about young White males in trenchcoats.
Has it occured to the Mormons that if they want to recruit Black males into "mormonism" or whatever its called - it would be smarter to have young White women approach them?
the last thing I wanna do is stand there talking to a White guy - or any guy for that matter - about religion.
A white girl - or any attractive girl - holds my attention so much better.
Are there rules about a Woman's place in evangelism in the faith?
Honestly, I don't give a damn about the faith, but meeting women is allways interesting.

Too bad there isn't a religion out there that uses women to marry men into their religion as a recruitment method. If there was, I'm sure they would dominate a good portion of America.
For that matter, why is it Jehovas witnesses pass out those stupid flyers? Why can't they hand out money instead? I'd convert to that faith in a second.

LOL you are so right. Right down to the male cheuvanist point of view. I'd like to see more women recruiting too but I supposse that would cheapen the experience from evangelism to a type of "speed dating".
You wouldn't stop staring at her rack when your suppossed to be recieving the word.

LOL Hey, look at it this way...if you'd rather just close the door and pretend you aren't home, at least they are easy to spot before they get to your house! lol ; )
My neighborhood is largely white, and I agree it is almost always white men that come to the door, we almost never see women. So I don't think it's any racial thing happening. It's possible that in this day and age a lot of the women just don't feel safe to go to too many strangers houses.
From my perspective I'm not sure I'd be into it that much... in any neighborhood all you need to do knock on the wrong door and get kidnapped or something. Sad that people have to worry about that kind of thing now.

When it comes to spreading the word of God, why would it matter to you, what color the missionaries are ?? You know the whites are trying to let the blacks know that they are loved by God just as much as any other race. Sounds as if you have a hang up about white missionaries. If they were your color of skin, then that would please you ??? I guess there is predjudice in your neighborhood. Don't be rude to the Mormon Missionaries. I am no a Mormon, but I have Great Respect for any person spreading the Gospel. Should be more of it. What does it matter, if the Missionaries are man or women. Sounds like you got a hang up in regards to both. Loosen up. Don't be so judgemental. You should be Thankfull that anyone would want to Evangelize your neighborhood. Send someone out from your church , then , that you would accept. You sound very predjudice. Don't be that way.

Well if the mormon religion wasn't inherently racist it would probobly bring in more black people, but as the Elders that attempted to recrute me told me black, Native American, Arabic, Indian or any other person of color in the world was cursed by god in the past. Mormans probably don't want their women to be around the "cursed" peoples especially the most cursed or darkest

Jehovah's Witnesses are not interested in discussing money. They *ARE* interested in discussing God's Word the bible and what it means for the future.
Jehovah's Witnesses understand the Scriptures to teach that God's Kingdom will soon replace all earthly governments.
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite
That Kingdom will rule over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”
(Acts 24:15) There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
Until that resurrection, there is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire
While a limitted number of humans will be resurrected to heaven to share in ruling over mankind, the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]
Interestingly, the Scriptures are full of references to this earthly hope.
(Psalms 37:11) 'the meek will possess the earth'
(Proverbs 2:21) 'upright will reside in the earth'
(Isaiah 45:18) 'God formed the earth to be inhabited'
(Matthew 5:5) 'the mild will inherit the earth'
(Revelation 21:3) The tent of God is with mankind

Your question is so twisted I just don't feel like untangling it ... its spiritually perverse, and racially bigoted. Well done.
