I don't believe it.
I think the night before, he went drinking, someone slipped him a mickey. There are too many ways the sample could be tampered with.
Also testosterone doesn't work that way. One high level result over the race says the sample was screwed with.

Doubtful, Why would you bike 2,000 miles on 'roids KNOWING they would check at the end whether you won or not. And risk a lifetime of practice and persistence to live the rest of your career in shame?
