Calories consumed are the same amount going in at 6 or 7 pm as those going in at 8 OR 9 pm. I just don't like eating late and going to sleep on a over stuffed stomach

short answer yes...long answer you do not even need to eat dinner if you are a normal active adult dinner isn't even really necessary especially that late at night by that time have a small snack(if you must) and go to bed you will actually burn more fat that way...and DO NOT skip breakfast even a small snack or something is fine just eat in the morning this causes your body to turn on its metabolism and get you going for the day.....i lost 30 pounds by simply not eating dinner (or a smaller one earlier) and eating a snack for breakfast(where i used to eat nothing) and i didn't have to change my lifestyle hardly at all didn't exercise that much more or anything just cutting out or down dinner was all it took.

Actually not because your body doesn't know the time, anyway if you eat late and get up earlier and eat again there will be smaller time difference so your digestion will be laden. But in mine opinion 8,9 p.m isn't late for dinner, 11, 12 is. So don't worry

Weight gain is determined by the total number of calories consumed not the time when you consume them. If you only ate 700 calories a day and ate them right before you went to bed you would still lose weight because you would not be consuming enough calories to support yourself

It's just better to eat 2 hours before you go to sleep. Your body has time to digest the food so it doesn't go into overload when you sleep.
