For hair that gets greasy and sticky quickly, I suggest Sun Silk Shampoo, it can be brought at your local drugstore and is designed for hair that gets greasy too quickly.
Another good shampoo is Herbal Essences. The herbal supplements are very healthy for your hair and will provide your hair with the nutrients to help keep grease away. Let me know how it goes ;)

dont' put hair conditioner on the top of your head just the bottom half. do not put too much hair styling stuff into it. do not use hydrating shampoos pick a shampoo that states to clean not hydrate. humidity and playing with your hair will do it. the oil off of your fingers plus transferring the oil off of the top of your head down through your hair makes it greasy. so keep fingers away from hair as much as possible. hope i helped!!

Try finding a shampoo and condition made for use on oily hair. There is also a hair powder that you can use on oily hair to maintain it throughout the day. Here are a few that make the powders:

Bumble & Bumble $18.95, okay thats the only one I could find.

You'll want to do two things.

1. Wash daily with shampoo.
2. Using a brush with soft bristles, gently massage your scalp in the shower to open up and clean out clogged pores.

You can obtain a brush at www.superscalp.com or probably ebay.com

Your friend probably didn't wash all the hair conditioner out. My hair felt the same way when I didn't wash it all out.

What you need to get is shampoo for oily hair. don't use conditioner everyday and i was also told by my stylist to use sea breeze (yeah the stuff for your face) once a week to control the oil. after you wash your hair use the sea breeze and work it threw your hair. rinse!
