1 box makes a single layer 9x11" cake which is a 1/4 sheet cake. So to make a half sheet, you need 2 boxes. You also need a larger pan to bake in and an industrial size oven.

Why not just make a whole sheet cake and if you only need half, freeze the other half for later use.
