Firstly, understand these facts.

Religion is evil in disguise. Religion is responsible for the majority of wars, conflict and murder of innocent life since humanity began. Even the Bible is full of terrible atrocities and evil. Remember that according to Genesis in the Bible, God is clearly the greatest mass murderer in history. Everyone knows of murders and violence associated with Christianity and Islam. The list of horrors and evil caused by religion is practically endless.

When religious people are faced with the above facts, guess what they typically say “Not us, we’re good people, all the baddies are just extremists who give us a bad name, oh no, not us, we’re goodies.”

So religious parents, did you know that all religious fanatics, extremists and murderers were children once and had parents. So how do you know that your children won’t also grow up to become religious fanatics, extremists and murderers because of you forcing religion into their innocent minds?

I agree with a lot of what you're saying, there has been a LOT of negatives come out of religion. I think there is a lot of hate and violence in the Big 3 (Christianity, Islam & Judaism) but I don't see that in others such as Buddhism and paganism. Nobody should be forced into believing anything. It's called free-thinking!!

Firstly, get your facts straight.

Religion: NOUN: 1a. Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe. b. A personal or institutionalized system grounded in such belief and worship.

Neither of those definitions would back up wour claim that religion is evil. As a matter of fact, by its definition, religion cannot be evil. You also make another mistake, religion has never started a war or committed murder. Man, however, is quite capable of both acts and has often used religion as the excuse to kill the innocent.

Muder: NOUN: 1. The unlawful killing of one human by another, especially with premeditated malice.

Any death directly caused by God and God alone would not be a murder as He and He alone has the right to judge all men.

"When religious people are faced with the above facts, guess what they typically say “Not us, we’re good people, all the baddies are just extremists who give us a bad name, oh no, not us, we’re goodies.”"

By this same logic then, since I'm of German descent the atrocities committed in WW2 would also be on my head? During the inquisition alone (And this is just one example) countless people suffered and were killed. The people who did the killing committed countless horrific acts. They also claimed to be doing it in God's name. It was all against God's word, however.

There are many Muslims in the world right now who would be more than happy to strap on a bomb and kill non-muslims, that doesn't mean they all will. My brother-in-law happens to be muslim and he thinks that the terrorists are as evil as any non-muslim would feel they are.

All serial killers, many of whom believe in no specific religion were children once. Perhaps we should just outlaw children? After all, you can't control what they'll grow into.

God is not a mass murderer. God gives life so it is His to take. God tells us not to kill because life is not ours to take. And stop taking the Bible out of context. The world was FULL of sin at that time and did he kill everyone? No. Noah and his family was spared because they obeyed God. Now would a mass murderer spare people if they had the kind of power God has? And don't blame everything on one type of people or religion. We are free will beings. We can do whatever we want. Nobody is controlling us with strings. That means we can choose to be good or evil. There are some the choose to be evil. But there are those that choose to be good too.

Like to add something to that: Most Christian Churches it has come to my attention believe they are the only ones going to heaven. The only ones saved. Some Pencostal religions believe only their church will go to heaven all the whole world is wrong. We pick on Muslims for being divided but so is Christianity. Christianity has accepted pagan customes and traditions. Sanctioned war and scared their children of hell for badness. The bible says for dust you are and to dust you will return. The only one in the bible that said you wouldn't really die was Satan in GEnesis 3: when she told him God said she would.
Even if it is bad it is still eternal life.

Hello Brenda's World.. :)

I Love you and Jesus does too.. :)

James 1

Hearing and Doing the Word

19 ¶ Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

20 for the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 ¶ But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24 for he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

===============================================

26 ¶ If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

===============================================

27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

===============================================

As for me and my household..we will serve the Lord..Amen!!

Are you directing your question at all religions, or one in particular? I was just wondering b/c 99% of the world's population is religious.

Anyway, nice rant. Too bad it's so full of hate.
