The Holy Spirit came many times throughout the Bible and just one other example: The Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary and she became pregnant with Jesus. This was also before Pentecost. Because Jesus was resurrected, He promised His Apostles and Disciples that He would not leave them alone. He would send them the Holy Spirit to be with them always and this He did on Pentecost.

just so you'll know: The Holy Spirit; from which all life comes, was here first... what makes you think that it didn't come until Pentecost?

Remember the Holy Spirit is The Spirit of God: Who IS the Creator.

Take care that you don't adapt a pagan ideal about our Father.

I received the Holy Spirit when I was saved. Receiveing the Holy Spirit and an anointing are different. Pentecost was an anointing to go out and spread the gospel through the gifting of the Holy Spirit. I am anointed as the Lord gives me the power to do the very things He did. I am meant to share the gospel and reconcile man to God in the same ways that Jesus did.
It is not like selling insurance door to door as many think. This door to door evangelism is man's way. Jesus showed us God's way. He told the disciples to wait until they were endued with power before they went out with the gospel.

Not in the way that is common to all believers after Pentecost. Simone was given a special insight by the Spirit so that he would recognize the "Christ".

Drop down a verse. It was "revealed" to him. it was not ON him, as in Acts. ch. 2 " They were all in the upper room and "FILLED", with the Holy Spirit. Simone was not "FILLED" with it, he was given "insight" by it.
