Hi, my friend is throwing a birthday party for her little girl, and I have NO IDEA what little girls play with at age 4 nowadays. The theme of the party is "princesses", if that helps. She is very pink and frilly and very girly. I'm pretty sure she already has all the princess Barbies.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

A princess costume would be great, or any of the Barbie princess DVD's. Girly stuffed animals are always a hit (unicorns, cats). Craft stuff that the mom can do with her is good, my daughter LOVED crafts. Have fun!

How about a disposable camera and a photo album, travel games, a scrapbook she can put together with her mum when she comes home, a new DS game (if she has a DS), a cute backpack she can use when travelling, a cute pillow or little blanket to use on the plane.

Here are a few suggestions:

1. Go the the Build-A-Bear Workshop and get her a gift certificate. Then she can go and make her very own bear, even dress it like a princess.

2. Toy dishes, food etc. at this age they love to play house, resturant etc. There are really cool fake foods available, I got my goddaughter fake Ice Cream Cones, fake candies, fake gingerbread cookies all from Scholar's Choice

3. A baby doll with clothes to change etc.

4. Dress up clothes, shoes, makeup

5. Ask her mom what other things her daughter is interested in. Dora the Explorer is huge.

It's a princess themed party? Go to a party city and find her a tiara. She'll feel so pretty and princess-like.

My daughter is 2 but she got a really cute doll called Snap and Style and it would be good for a 4 yr old. Check them out on Amazon, but they are available at your local WalMart, Target.

Do My Little Pony with a tea set and a puzzle with a my little pony.
Or get a dress up outfit with shoes and a dress with a princess barbie.
A bath set, bubbles, Kandoo wipes and soap, with new toothbrush and toothpaste.
Always get a variety of things for a set of b-day gifts, it makes it fun for them to open. But pick a theme to give her. That also makes it fun.

my niece will be 4 in november and i have noticed she loves anything to do with princesses. so anything you buy with them the little girl will love. or also my niece has a baby she carries around or pushes her with a baby stroller. sometimes little girls just wanna be like their mommy's. so you may wanna try a baby doll with a stroller if she has everything already of the princesses.

Hello! My four year old neice just had a birthday party and her favorite gift was an easy bake oven. She loves baking and decorating little cookies and cakes on her own!
