guys, well at lest guys at my age are shy and most of them care about thier guy friends more then thier girl. I was the one who started with the guy. I sent him a note and we became gf and bf all he said is i was his gf he never complimented me much or told me he liked me.Im in the same position as you if my bf dosent confront he likes me im not sure how much longer we could remain gf and bf.

They dont want to fell guilty or feel that they didnt say anything, so they do it when they know the the answer is going to be "im sorry" instead of No.

Probably because they're not interested UNTIL you're unavailable. They could have you before, but it's a challenge later on. My theory. :)
