And don't tell me that a loving God wouldn't send someone to hell...God doesn't send anyone to hell. Man chooses on his own to go there. God gives man a choice. Once the Lord comes back and judges the earth, it will be too late. Now is your time to turn to Christ.

Let's see what are those people before Abraham going to say when God some to judge earth? There is a wonderful book by Thomas Cahill called "the gift of the jews" where he properly analysis that the gift of Abraham to the world is the though of a single God. When God shows up at his door with two angels - and God sends the angels to sodom and gomorah to save Abraham brother and wife but she turns into a pillar of salt...

It really is not up to you to pass judgement on what is it that God would or would not do. If people before God entered the mainstream through process did not know of God - what they are going to hell because they did not choose him as their saviour?

I have seen better human being outside of church than in the chuch. Seems those do-gooders go to church to cleanse their "soul" for the week but go out during the week and commit the sin no matter what! Stop passing judgement! "he without sin cast the first stone...
"

You're having delusions.

Read the works of the Church Fathers(the ones who lived during time of the Apostles and during the early church and died defending the faith, the same people who protected the scriptures that would later become the Bible) and you'll see they never claimed salvation as you do.

Are you telling us you know better than those martyrs?

If you are really a Christian then you must be able to show even just one quote from the works of any apostolic father agreeing with your notion of assured salvation.

Or is this the first time you even heard about the Church Fathers?

My father, an "unbeliever", would be in Hell according to Revelations (21:8). Along side Buddha, Lao Tzu, Confucious, Socrates, Plato, et al.

Thus, I won't be in line for heaven. I'm unwilling to worship the guy who sent Dad and the rest of those luminaries to Hell.

As for a "loving God": a loving God wouldn't set up rules where some of us go to hell, or did you forget who rigged this game?

But I know the rules, and I make my choice deliberately, out of my love and respect for my father who was a good and loving father.

Didn't the Bible say, "Do not judge, or ye be judged."? It also says, "Judge not unbelievers, but judge each other." I'de give you the verses, but I've got a firewall.

I certainly view this question as an attempt to convert non-christians by judging them according to your christian doctrine, of which non-christians view as just another religious doctrine, and as such, don't view the bible, or jesus christ as you do. So threatening non-christians with hell and damnation does nothing for your efforts, because 99% of people automatically block out what you have to say.

Nobody wants to be preached at, so if you want to convert poeple, just live your christian doctrine, and if you stand out like, "a lamp in a dark room", people will notice, and if they are interested, they will come to you about your christian doctrine.

Just words of advice from an agnostic.

Study the history of Christianity. No one "chooses" Jesus. Traditionally, God elects those he wants for salvation. This was never debated. The only questions was if God elected those people before or after the Fall. Everyone God offers salvation/grace to accepts it because God makes it so. Just being Christian didn't gaurentee salvation, and people knew it at the time. Even Martin Luther didn't know if he was going to heaven or not!

Oy gevalt! I'll say this as simply as I can so that even people like you can understand...I'm a Jew...there is no hell...and as long as there are people like you supporting and pushing Christ on everyone, I want nothing to do with it. Like Flip Wilson said, "The Christians have a great coach, but the team sucks"

first I would probably apologize all sincere like and say something like this, " I'm sorry god. don't hate me. it's not that I didn't believe all these years, but you were never around. come on baby! take me back god!! I love you dog !!!!! " and if god still wanted to be an asshole and not let me into heaven I would be like " F*CK YOU!!! " and I would spit in god's face for trying to think he's all tough. Then I would team up with the devil and try and kick god's @ss.

No you got it all wrong. I suggest that you read your Bible. The word says that no one comes to the fathe but by Me. And for thoes who are not saved at the judgment time He will then say to them, "apart from Me I never knew you". So while you have the chance to speak, I would pray the sinners prayer and ask for forgiviness and accept Him as your Lord and Savior, before it is too late.

Do you have children? Your question assumes humans are able to love and forgive their children much easier than God. Maybe you should think about who you choose to believe God is, before passing your beliefs on to everyone in such a way!

As an atheist, I don't believe in heaven, hell or god. But I'll play your silly "what if" game.

If it turns out there really is a heaven, hell and a god, and if some god tells me I can't get into heaven, I'll probably say.....

God damn it!!
