Even if it takes months can this work?

Cutting back your portions to a half and then to 1/4 when you can handle it for all meals. Eat the same food you always do though.

And the only exercise you get is walking around school, mall, house, etc. Basicaly light exercise.

Drink only water or diet soda.

Also not eating until you are hungry?
thanks ♥

Yes. I cut back on the foods I ate, but didn't exercise any more than walking around school or shopping, and I lost almost twenty pounds in only three months. It is also important to mention that I was not overweight - I am 5'6" and weighed about 155. Watching how much I ate during the day brought me down to 136. It's not easy, but if you don't like exercise, it's worth it.

It sounds like simple portion control and yes I believe it can work slowly. Hey take in fewer calories and you will slow your weight gain.

But i think you do need a little bit more exercize. Walking is fine but you have to do it for like 45 minutes a day where you are actaully raising your heart rate.

Also water good, diet soda bad. It has been found that artifical sweeteners actually prevent weight loss. Want a sweetener that is natural look up Stevia Dietary Suplement on the web. Read everything on it. One heck of a story.

Another one that I've heard that works is to switch your meals around. Eat your big meal of the day for breakfast, normal at lunch and then just a lite meal for dinner. plus a few small sensible snaks. The idea is that normally you eat your largest at the time of day when you need the least energy so it gets stored as fat rather than burned. Switch it around and more of it will be burned off during the day and less will be stored.

Best of Luck

Of course that would work. But, it's also good to include more exercise in your daily routine if you want to see fast results. Also, studies show that if you diet alone, your metabolism will slow down more than half the percentage. But, if you combine diet with exercise, you have the advantage of your metabolism working extra because of extra heartbeat.

I think thats a great idea, but try to add more exercise, like jogging or running everyday, or even walking and some yoga. Whatever suits your lifestyle is what you should do.

If you cut back too far on your portions you will get hungry and binge eat. Increase your exercise as that will help curb your appetite - plan for medium exercise (45 min - 1 hr a day). You should only plan on reducing food intake by 25% - 30% for an average person.

I think so. If you are talking about losing weight, it is a pretty simple formula. You have to burn off more than you are taking in. If you do it, and stick with it, and find that it is not working for you, maybe increase your walking to around your neighborhood a little. Walking is very good exercise and shouldn't take much before you start to see results.
Good luck!

You have to cut your calorie intake if your don't exercise. especially the carbs. I have always been big on meats keeps me lean but I always hear its not good for cholesterol level. If want to look good and be fit you have to burn the calories off. Eat what you want but remember how many calories you are going to have to work off. I would think if you are fairly active and eat more vegetables and broiled foods you can be fit. No late night meals as in before bed.

Your body needs energy to do the walking and 1/4 of a meal wouldn't be enough for your body. Unless you are an extremely heavy eater I don't recommend it.

Yes. You just cut your calorie intake, but kept your nutrition - at least a portion of it. Nothing wrong with water.

it could work, but you may want to exercise much more. Wake up early in the morning if you have to.
