Because unfortunately it's all too often the case that, if somone disagrees with you and the subject is religion, they're going to take your disagreement as a personal attack. If you think about it, it's really a measure of their own insecurity. If they were truly as strong in their faith as they profess, they wouldn't feel the need to attack anyone who believes differently, ?verdad?

I don't have extensive knowledge on any religious subject, but I agree with you 100%. I know a lady (Catholic) who said that the reason Florida kept getting hit with hurricanes was b/c they "killed Terry Shiavo by taking her off life support! (By the way, I live in Louisiana, close to New Orleans, and we got slammed with Katrina about a year later! Guess it's all the damn partiers down here that got us messed up!) But I've had Catholics argue with me about Adam and Eve (they think I'm a heathen for saying that's a load of crap), about the possibility that Jesus had brothers and sisters, etc. They only want to hear what they are taught in the church, and that makes them ignorant. And how can "good Catholics" believe that others will go to hell for not believing what the Catholics believe is right? What kind of vengeful God do they worship. And of course, I'm not talking about all Catholics, just the ones who try to jam their beliefs down everyone's throats.

Actually, religious information is all a matter of fact. Note that I didn't say "is all fact," I said "is all a matter of fact." This means that there is no "opinion" about religion. If there is a truth to anything, it is a matter of fact.
Now that we have settled that, all I can say is that you need to know and accept the truth in order to have a place in heaven, not just be a good person. If all we needed to do was be a good person, there would be far less religious war because everyone would be missing a gigantic reason to convert people, which is to help them.

Donation of Constatine - a fraudulent document supposedly written by Emperor Constantine, giving supreme power to the Roman Church and the Pope. Used for 800 years by the Church as evidence that the Roman Church was the only supreme source. Turns out - its a fake, Constatine never wrote it.
Eusubius, Bishop of Cesaria - wrote about Jesus' teachings and used letters purportedly written by Jesus to another man. Later, it was discovered that the person Jesus was writing to had lived 100 years after the alleged cruciFICTION.... So, turns out the letters were faked - by Eusubius....
Mary Magdalene - demonifeid, called a whore by the Church. Just recently, the Church has apologized and de-designated her status of Whore....they made it all up...
Now, look in the original manuscripts of the Bible....Hell is never mentioned. Thats because it is something that the Church invented later as a form of TERRORISM to scare people into following their message. Hell doesnt exist, never did and never will.

Yes I agree. For instance - the scriptures are quite clear about Idol worship. And yet- the Catholic churches are full of them. We are to pray to God - Not a statue of him or Mary or some other Saint that they created!

Wow bub, um, I think you're violating your own paragraph inside your paragraph! It's not just Catholics who can talk about stuff that and not know exactly what they're talking about. I myself have done the same thing and I am not Catholic by any means.
