WOW! There sure are alot of heartless folks out there responding to "homeless". Most humans are really kind at heart. Some just lose something along the way, you have lost your home...some folks lose their heart & that is really sad... I, too, have been homeless. The hardest thing I had to do was ask for help. Although some of the cummunities wont have "THE BEST" accomidations..they are here to help, not degrade you(you might say they have a heart!)The greatest & most powerful way to ask for help is to ask God first, then begin the footwork. As for depression... if it persist after you have your life back on track, seek help from M.H.M.R. or one of the other free clinics around your area. If you are in a relativately small community, It may be wise to relocate to a larger area that will offer more oppurtunites. Cant get there...? Well..I can promise you that there is a Church somewhere close to you. Does not matter what denomination... someone will be there to guide you, help you , & pray with you. You will find the help you are seeking. And when you have it, do not forget that someone someday who may ask you for help.Have A HEART!

Jeeze has everybody forgotten about free internet access at libraries?

Anyways, go to a shelter and get a job while you're there. Save up some money and then move into low income housing.

Get yourself cleaned up and then join the military. You need direction in your life and they will provide it for you, plus free food, free housing and enough money for you to buy lots of stuff. They'll even pay for your college with the MGIB.

I don't know how old you are but it is worth a shot. Anything is better than your current situation.

Visit a non profit agency that works with homeless individuals and ask about how you can get your life on track. These people are there to help you (or so they say). They can help you find a job and get your own place. Most of these places also offer free training programs to increase your odds of finding a job if you are in need of a boost in your education.

Since you're already online, you can look up programs in your area. They are generally free. Good luck, I wish you the best.

Find a homeless shelter to stay in (Rescue Mission, Salvation Army, etc) to get off the streets. Get a job. Go to your county Department of Human Resources or Department of Social Services. Apply for assistance. For your depression, go to mental health. Somebody at one of the agencies I named, I am sure will be glad to help you. You might even be able to get help from a church. Don't give up!!!

and what should you do?
See a social worker. Unfortunately I don't know where you are so I can't recommend any organizations to help you.

You're homeless but why are you depressed?
Talk it out, write in a journal, learn about yourself and uncover your needs.
Depression sucks but when it comes don't run from it. Use it as a tool to grow and learn.
We are all equal in some way, you just need to discover what's important to you. Find beauty in life. Don't be afraid to serve your fellow man.

There are a lot of organizations out there, to help you. Check with social services, welfare, churchs, etc.........
You don't state how old you are, but try to find a job, any job! This will improve your chances of receiving help.
If you are truely depressed, contact a mental health association. They will help you cope with the depression.
Try to keep your appearance up and don't give up looking for help, it's out there, if you're willing to go find it.
