Many many hotels in midtown for under $80 a night if you book with the hotel and do not use expedia or one of those "services". They add premiums of $30 to $50 a day for a room that they keep??? Just ask you browser a question like "hotel in manhattan for $90 a day or less" and hit go. Then look at them and use (Hotel Name .com) and or other combinations until you get directly to the hotel website. They will book you there. You also find travelocity and those sites often say a hotel is booked to force you to a more expensive one. If they say full and you go directly to the hotel, you will find open rooms at cheaper prices. These sites like priceline also do not get you a "guarenteed" reservation and you can arrive to find someone else got your room. Please do not use these ripoff sites. Type in Manhattan NYC and there will be options to select hotels. Takes maybe 10 minutes more to look around on internet yourself and you save thousands over one week booked through one of the travel services. Also get tickets for everything at least 4 to 6 months in advance of your trip. You can save hours in line at tourist sites if you do a little work online before you go. Broadway = no advance online tickets directly from the theatre box office means early AM lines for hours to buy pot luck tickets (ruins you trip). Empire state = 3 hours in line without pre purchased tickets. Statue of liberty 4 to 5 hours in line. TV shows = you don't get in.

Use www.priceline.com and name your own price for a hotel. You dont get to choose the hotel but you get to choose the star level and area.
I have gotten some awesome deals at 4-5 hotels in NY for less than $100 a night.

i'm no longer constructive what their prices might want to be on the prompt, yet try calling a inn referred to as Park seventy 9. They do hostel-type (shared bathing room) rooms, yet in addition they do inner most rooms with their personal bogs. They were very no longer expensive even as my relatives got here to visit. the non-public room grow to be great small, yet sparkling.
