If you liked a guy but he says he does not want any "distractions" right now, what would you do? Let's say also that you had been flirting with him, and suddenly and surprisingly he backed off. Would you start acting like you don't like him and harbor your love as a secret? Also, would you still spend time talking to him alone if you were getting to be close prior to him backing off? If you did keep spending time with him, would you hope he would eventually like you back?

I did. I didn't want distractions. But I went out with her anyway. Then she dumped me 2 weeks down the line before my maths exam for her Ex. Boy did I fail miserably/ couldn't get more distracted than that. Boy did that suck. So I'll never do it again.

But yeh, answering your question: That kind of thing is very likely to get a guy to like you back quite soon - about 85% chance there/ its a natural thing.

I cant be into someone who isn't into me. If he refers to me or us being together as a distraction that would be the sign to move on. I would not spend any time with him anymore if I liked him and he didn't like me back.

Keep talking to him as a friend, but don't get your hopes up. Date other guys. When he sees that, he'll probably show some interest in you.

I would just back off because he is not interested and it's a waste of time
