A garrote made from a length of nylon cord and the handle of a paintbrush had been used to strangle her; her skull had suffered severe blunt trauma; she may have been sexually assaulted. The official cause of death was asphyxia by strangulation associated with craniocerebral trauma. The other half of the paint brush was found in a tub of Patsy Ramsey's art supplies.

The text of the note had many odd features, including the fact that $118,000 was demanded. Perhaps coincidentally, John Ramsey earned a bonus that year of $118,117.50.

You are so wrong. That was all media lies plus some things that I think you just made up. NONE of the handwriting experts said it was her handwriting, that's why they kept asking for more samples. She never bought rope or tape or anything else that was used to kill her daughter. Jon Benet had someone else's skin under her fingernails (the DNA didn't match anyone in the family) and foreign DNA (matched the skin under the nails) in blood in her panties. Patsy's cancer was a recurring relapse and she had already recovered from it once when Jon Benet was killed. The Grand Jury refused to indict the Ramseys and stated to the D.A.s that it was obvious even from the botched investigation that an intruder was responsible. Jon Benet and Patsy are together now.

JonBenet's mother must have been awfully stupid to have left all those clues that you just itemized. Does it seem obvious to you that she was really stupid? I mean they lived in such poverty - just look at her house; I'm sure they could'nt pay the bills - even the bonus check was just pennies (by the way the amount on the note was for the previous year, of course, that just proves that she was senile too)! You are obviously not a parent, and therefore you would not understand that mothers in their right minds, do not kill their children. In fact, not even animals kill their own kids! I have not seen any reports that this poor victimized woman was crazy, did you? Even the stupidest person would not use their own stationery or things that they had purchased. The hoopla is about the fact that the wonderful legal system victimized a victim yet again, and the dumbass media helped them to victimized this poor woman, whose child was murdered at Christmas. The media is trying to regain our trust! Most educated people can see through this. Her cancer took her life because she did not have a life after being accused of killing her child, while the actual murderer was not even being searched for. She did not want to live! Can you imagine what her life was like after being accused of killing her own child that she adored. She had no strength to fight off anything. I would'nt have had the strength or inclination either, after loosing my child, and then having the legal system screw me over like it did to her!

If you know so much -- why ask the question? Obviously investigators are not 100% sure that her mother was responsible or else she would have been tried. The question is why anyone would admit to a murder that they didn't do.
