This is kind of a gross topic, so I'm sorry!

Anyway, lately I've been having this problem......I seem to be farting ALL the time, and it smells really bad, and I feel really bloated as well. When I go to the bathroom to open my bowels I always feel like I haven't emptied them properly, but nothing else comes out.

I don't think I'm constipated, I go fairly regularly and it's not difficult to pass a motion or anything like that. I do eat a lot of fibre, I probably don't drink as much water as I should though.

Anyway, it's getting really embarrassing, especially the farting all the time. What's wrong with me, and what can I do to stop it? I'm serious, please don't give me rubbish answers.

Well if you think you eat a lot of fiber then cut back on that cause that will make you very gaseous. The other thing you might want to do is drink a bunch of water for a few days then get some milk thistle or some other type of Colon cleanse type stuff (there is a good tea) and just purge your system clean. You can buy the stuff at a health food store. Just tell them that you are looking for a good colon cleanse. You do however really need to get caught up on your water intake before doing this.

Check your local pharmacy or drug store for over the counter products to help with the gas. I think Beano is one of them.

Make an appointment to discuss your problem with your doctor - don't accept any real medical advice from the crew out here.

Before you see your doctor, take some time to think about your diet, activities, etc. since this problem started. See if you can't identify any changes in your diet or daily routine that your body may be reacting to. Be sure to inform your doctor of any recent changes you can think of. You could even try modifying these changes before you see your doctor.

There are also online health websites where you may find some useful information - search on your symptoms (flatulence, I suppose). Take any online information you can find with a grain of salt, and do not consider it a substitute for discussing your problem with a doctor.

You think that's embarrassing, my mom worked in an office with a woman next to who had IBS (irritable Bowel System) This sounds like the same thing. You're right, it is embarrassing and it is offensive. There are medical remedies for this disorder( one of them is NOT reheated brocoli from last night's dinner, which is what my mother's coworker did.) I URGE you, for the sake of family and friends, to seek the help you most definitely need. Please don't resign yoursefl to a life of humiliation. DO YOU REALLY WANT TO BE KNOWN AS "STINKY" We've consulted with Dr.Assmanwho has suggested an assenctonmy. In short terms, stitch your as s up

I think you can get a better answer by a doctor, dont delay it it may be GERD or something even worst. I hope you are drinking lots of water and taking in right fiber content, stay away from greasy and spicy food, thats all I can think off.

I don't really know, I'd suggest going to a medical site or something. Try cutting out everything bubbly, and beans :D Besides that I have no clue, but I'll ask around.

Deepest sympathies :(

Blessed be )O(

Maybe you are taking in too much fiber. Or maybe you are lactose intolerant. The same thing happens to me when I eat too much fiber or eat or drink dairy.

You need to go see a doctor. It could be a virus of some kind.
