Yes, you will need the FASFA to apply for student loans and aid. You can go on line and apply. Be sure to have your parents tax return from the previous and your tax information as well. It takes about an hour to fill it out.

It depends on if your a dependent student(one who still needs the parents help) or independent (on your own) dependent needs all parents financial info plus tax statements, independent just all of your own financial statements.Have all of your information with you so you can be better organized. And you can fill out the forms on the Internet, or have the paper, which you can get at any local college.Hope this helps. And YES it does work .I got all my schooling paid for through financial aide programs. You cant get those without filling a FAFSA form

The FAFSA form is pretty easy to fill out and , yes, it does work. I just got approved for financial aid using the FAFSA form.
Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov/ and first and foremost apply for a PIN. At the top of the page you will see "PIN site"...click on that and apply for a PIN. The PIN is need to electronically sign your FAFSA. Next go to "filling out a FAFSA" and complete all the info. It will take a few days to get your PIN so skip that part when you apply, you can go back to that at a later date.
Good luck and if you need any help feel free to email me and I'll try to help. I just did mine a few weeks ago so it's still pretty fresh in my memory.

YES it works -- just go to the FAFSA Website (using the info from your college) and make sure you have all the information to start with BEFORE you open the FAFSA Application. I did this for my own college age child, and it was easy and fast. I can't believe how easy it is now -- because when I went to College several decades ago -- everything was another paper or form to write carefully, send away, and wait for months to hear a response.

you need your tax return information. Usually colleges have a program to where they have people that can help you fill those things out...they are not hard...just follow the directions listed on the forms...they have instructions where to find the information in your tax return forms to help you. Again, if you have any questions call the college financial aid department, they are always willing to help.
