I used to be that way and now I just ask myself when something happens...Is it an inconvenience or a catastrophe? If it's an inconvenience I don't stress. It's really helped!

As a general rule, I am definitely a worrier as well. I think it comes from our surroundings, our upbringing, and the things that we have had to go through growing up.
There are only two things that help me. First, I tell myself that worring is not going to help anything. This is very true, because it dreally doesn't. Who is going to benefit from our worry? No one. In fact, it only just hurts ourself. We also need to remember that as long as it is not death-related, there is nothing to worry about. There is nothing more precious in life than death, and that should be given the most meaning.
Second, when you are worrying, or feel frightened or scared about anything, just pray to God for Him to take your worries away. The Bible says, "Cast all your cares upon Him...," and this is very true. "Who by worrying can add a single day to his life..."

I understand what you mean. I always think its a family trait because my mom does the same thing!! I think the best way to stop stressing is to realize that there is always something worse out there than any problem you are having. I have to think about this all the time.

Having a Hobie like playing a musical instrument or painting is one way to channel your energy. I find having a Hobie like that let's me take a vacation from life anytime. When I work on those fun things I relieve stress an imagine things like a kid would.

Try keeping a to-do list. And also a journal to write down your thoughts.

I don't know for sure. If you are like me, it comes from obsessing about nonsense. Drugs do not work, they add to paranoia kids. That is all I know. Seriously.
