Im 16 years old and Well i was going out with this great guy for three months. Until one day my dad noticed that whenever he called,a familar name would come up on the caller id. So me n my dad talked about his family and he realized that my boyfriend's mother is his cousin. Now that kinda makes him my 3rd cousin or somethin right??? I told him and we decided to break up and ever since i just havent felt myself. I really miss him and want to be with him but i dont think its possible huh? What do you think??

I don't see why you can't talk to him but a b/f -g/f relationship is out of the question.
You're young, you don't really need the complications that go along with such a liason.

bcuz the fact that u didnt no he was ur third cousin when u were dating him and the fact that u luved him alot tells me, that u dont care u just want 2 spend the rest of ur life with him.Now the problem is, how? U guys cant b on top of each other at family gatherings, so my suggestion is 2 make plans with him 2 go 2 the movies or sumthing.

Girl your 16 years old go out and live. There are more guys out there that aren't related to you that you can date. In the future you may be able to develop a friendship type of relationship with this "cousin" but not right now. It's too fresh and raw. Take time for you and find out who you are and enjoy you first. hope everything works out for you. Peace child.

well. hes your dad's cousin's son. so that does make you related. but if hes your 3rd cousin than its not that bad. ask your dad if it would be okay to keep dating this person. tell him you are not the same without him, and you need him. i think your dad may let you. but if he doesnt remember that he is tecnically family.

I wouldn't date my cousin. Of course you miss him but there are other guys and you will move on.

are you acctually VERY close relatves? and no, i wouldn't. you're gunna hate me 4 this but the reason you may have liked him is that you recognised a family member sub-conciously, so its like brotherly love.
