I've had a few religious discussions with some of them. From what I can tell they believe the following

Jesus Christ did pay for their sins
He is the only way to receive salvation
Only 144,000 will live in Heaven
The rest of the good people will live on "paradise earth"
All bad people will be utterly destroyed
They do not celebrate any holidays or birthdays
They do not believe in participating in blood transfusions
They believe in studying the Bible.
They believe in practicing their beliefs
They are very missionary-minded
I have read other very intersting things about their beliefs in a book, but I'm not sure as to who published it so I don't know if it is true or not.

I've met many wonderful Witnesses.

Why are Jehovah's Witnesses always getting it on this web site?
Went to their church all they do is study the bible.
real quiet and they feel it is there goal to teach people the bible.
Which is not a bad goal. They don't believe in fighting and are against war. Killing is killing to them. Believe in a paradise earth where one day people are just going to stop fighting and love each other. what is so bad about that?

I do.

Just another group with a different interpretation of the bible.

There are over 30,000 different christian organizations. Most split from the others when there was a difference in interpretation.

Big points of Witnessism;
No trinity,
No celebrations other than the ones of Jehova (no birthdays, nationalism, etc.)
No one gets into heaven other than jesus chosen 144,000, (everyone who's dead is in limbo right now)
No blood transfusions, not even your own blood (once blood leaves the body it's unclean)
Jesus was really the archangel Michael
and they have to go out 4 hours a week preaching.

No more or less christian than the rest, just different.

Yes. I don't advise joining their cult just to fulfill a need for belonging -- you can do that with any legitimate Christian church.

I know that no one who truly respects his/her father would call their father by his first name; so how is it possible that they respect the Father, and yet they always use the name... even though the word tells us to use Father or JAH
