Everyone is correct. The legal deadline is the end of January. If you want to get a jump on computing your taxes, the 'year to date' section of your last pay-stub issued in 2006 will have the same numbers. Just be sure to double check before sending in your return. Note: if you receive a check on Jan 1, 2007, it counts as 2007 income even if all the pay is for time worked in Dec 2006.

I believe the law requires w-2's be mailed out no later than 30 days after the end of the calendar year, ie. January 30th.

Generally by the end of Jan. of the tax year. Jan. 2007 for taxable year 2006. Hope this helps.

I thought that they have a limit of a month to send them out. But the actual time limit varies from company to company. I got mine 2 weeks into Jan. last year.

Sometime in January, sometimes companies try to be nice and get them out as soon as possible, like early January, but sometimes it can push into February if your company slacks off. (They could mail them out as late as the last day of January. . . .)
