My fiancee and I are Eclectic Wiccans. We often feel isolated in our small town, and have recieved numerous death threats and insults because we chose to raise our daughter as such. Is anyone else out there Wiccan? We're very eager to make friends.

I'm a Wiccan and I'm also eager to meet others. I think it's bullsh** the way you've been treated. You have my full support.

I AM a Wiccan, and you have my full support, and I'll say a little spell for you. I've never heard of eclectic Wiccan, but, hey, a Wiccan's a Wiccan.

May I suggest that you move out of that town, and maybe into a more liberal area? If you're getting death threats, at least take it to the cops, if they won't help you, then your life is on the line. :( *hugs new friend in worry*

I wish you the best of luck and safety.

I'm an Eclectic Pagan with Wiccan influences...

... I'm only 16, but, I've gotten death-threats before, I've been swarmed when walking outside by people with Bibles...

... and I live in NYC.

... if you ever feel open to being friends with a 16 year old from the city that never sleeps, I'm open for it.

Blessed be.

I am a Pagan in North Texas and always eager to make new friends. I hope that no harm comes to you or your family. I would seriously consider moving if only for the mental and physical health and well being of your daughter.

I don't know where you are located but I also live in small town, though it is growing up a bit. I'm in the south so we cannot be open about our beliefs at this time. You should stand proud for what you've done. The steps you've taken are going to pave the way for others. Thank you and Blessed Be.

Unfortunetely you still have some ignorant jerks out there who don't understand and thus lash out at those who dare to be different. Check out http://www.witchvox.com and see if there are any other Pagans and such in your area. I'm sure you are not alone. I'm sorry to hear that you are going through that. Stay strong. May the Gods smile on you.

I feel for you. I'm agnostic but have pagan leanings.

Are you sure you want to continue to live in an area that is intolerant of your faith? I'm all for standing up for what you believe in but not if doing it is risking your health and life. Basically, is it worth it to live there to fight what is a prejudice against you?

When you have kids though, it's all different. Seriously consider whether or not you want raise your daughter in that environment. You want to stand up for your rights but at the same time, you want her to feel safe and secure.

Have you ever heard of the Spiral Scouts? It's like boy/girl scouts for alternative religions and choices. Maybe you can find a community with an active group that you could appeal to in your bid to relocate.

Honey, if you are receiving death threats you should call the police & report these people. And be selective of who you share your beliefs with. You have a child & you must think of her safety as well.

The best source for networking with others that have similiar beliefs as you is Witch Vox. Just go to the site & select which state that you live in of the USA.

http://www.witchvox.com

There you will find people, groups & covens, metaphysical shops, articles, references, events & news about what is going on in the Magickal & Metaphysical Communities in your area.

You can also go to YAHOO Groups to find others that may have meeting groups for networking, social & ritual purposes: (Yahoo!>Yahoo Groups>Religions & Beliefs>Paganism>By Location>U.S.States> *Then select your state)

That is crap that you're treated that way, but it seems in this society, choosing to be different brings that kind of treatment. I'm not Wiccan, but I've known more Wiccans that are far better people than Christians who never fail to profess how "good of a Christian" they are.

No I am not involved in Wicca but myheart goes out to you. I am a senior citizen and if I learned anything in life it would be that we need to get along with one another. We may beleive differently. It does not give us the right to judge another's opinion. In my household I taught my son to be a decent human being with honor values. I did not teach him religion. I feel that religion is a personal journey and teaching a child is brainwashing into my personal belief. My son is now a great honorable person. He is still trying to find his spiritual path. Whatever he finds will be great for me and should be for anyone else too. My best wishes go out to you.
