A so called friend whom some people say is a witch and is believed to want anothers spouse. If so, how much praying can keep it from happening? I am talking possible spells, rituals, etc. and help is needed and powerful prayers. What is suggested?

Pray very hard, the fight you would be in is that of good and evil. As long as there is good, evil aslo exists. And the only way to fight evil is with good. God is good. Pray and put it in his hands. It's a spiritual warfare. Let God the spirit bring that bad spirit down for you. If you try to stick you hand in it, you will get burnt.

Any witch worth her athame knows better than to try a love spell, particularly on someone else's husband. She tries anything and she'll be opening up a seriously nasty can of worms. This isn't to say that she's not going to do something, just that it would be really dumb.
That said: there is no way to tell if someone is a witch other than asking them and having them say yes, short of walking in on them during a ritual.
You say that they are a friend... well, as a friend, isn't it part of your job as a friend to tell her what's being said, and advising her against a course of action that will only end in heartache? Sometimes the best and simplest thing to do is to talk to someone and help them figure out the best path to take. Pray to whatever deity you honor that you can help them find a way to deal with this situation in a way that will do no harm.

The origin of the name "WITCH' really means a very smart woman...it had nothing to do with evil.
Just imagine a very smart woman in Europe in the Middle ages...she would be hated because women are supposed to be stupid....just like many Muslim men in the Mid East treat women as objects to be used.
But why mix spells with prayers???

Um....you ask? Most Witches are going to be perfectly normal people. You wouldn't know they were Witches unless asked.
As for the rest I'm having a bit of trouble understanding it. You are saying this person is believed to want someone else's spouse? Sounds like a case of some jealous woman wanting to make someone she percieves to be a potentional rival look bad to me. I wouldn't take it seriously.

If they want another's spouse they are not a witch but a *itch...That is not a witch it is a homewrecker period... No amount of praying with stop that but the spouse being able to stay away from temptation..

ARE YOU SERIOUS!? So-called friend is right, but you're the bad friend in this situation. Why would you call the occult against your friend because of rumors? That makes YOU a witch. What's wrong with you? Have you tried talking to your friend about this? Pray for yourself.

Witches aren't like that...
No matter how much you think about it, Witches aren't like that... they do spells and rituals, but, they do not inflict upon another's will...
They may want another's spouse... but, if they are truly a Witch, they will not go after that person.
Simply, they'll do a spell to find a lover for themself. Not for someone in particular.

Witches cannot compel anyone to do anything against their will anymore than a christian can compel someone via prayer to act against their own will.
But if you don't believe that, find Jesus, slash his throat and pour the blood of christ onto your friend. That should at least distract her until you can alert the witch-hunters who will mete out justice to your friend in true pilgrim style.

Witches generally operate with telepathy and deception they have an uncanny ability to sense what your thinking,probably due to mind expansion from drug abuse.As far as deception is concerned it's mostly everyday stuff,how they dress,make up,clothing The answer before me was right,they have NO power unless you go along with the lie.

Bunch of hooey. Don't sweat this mumbo-jumbo stuff because it's all crap. Spells and rituals. The only people who I take seriously and are dedicated are Wiccans. They aren't the black magic and abra-cadabra type people either. Its a religion to them.
However, to tell if shes a witch...Build a bridge out of her.
