The world's best long range heavy duty bomber, the B-52
Stratofortress. Has had an amazingly long life span from the early 1950s to the present. There are still a few dozen in service. OK all you Yanks I'll give you the thumbs up for this creation. What else comes to mind? The telephone? No! that was a Scotsman. The television? No! that was a Scotsman. The pneumatic tyre? No! that was a Scotsman. The steam engine? No! much of that was a Scotsman. Penicillin? No! that was a Scotsman...etc..etc
I'd just get tired by going on forever!

The Boeing B-52 Stratofortress is a long-range eight-engined strategic bomber flown by the United States Air Force (USAF) since 1954, replacing the Convair B-36 and the Boeing B-47. Although built for the role of Cold War-era nuclear deterrent, its conventional capabilities are nowadays more important. The aircraft has an extremely long range, carries a heavy weapons load and is economical in operation compared to the rest of the USAF strategic bomber fleet.

A rather strange popular beat combo who sang about Lobsters for no apparent reason, still fun though.
