I'm making some cookies for a family event and I want them to be the best ever. What recipe would you suggest?

Use the soft batch recipe found on the label of butter flavored Crisco...best batches of chocolate chip cookies I have ever made.

WORLDS GREATEST CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Cream together:

2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. brown sugar

Add:

4 eggs
2 tbsp. vanilla

Mix together:

4 c. flour
5 c. oatmeal (before blending, put small amount at a time in blender until it turns into powder)
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda

Mix together all ingredients.
Add:


24 oz. chocolate chips
1 (8 oz.) Hershey Bar (grated)
3 c. chopped nuts

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees. Make golf ball sized cookies, 2 inches apart. Bake 10 minutes. Makes 112 cookies.

WORLDS GREATEST PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

1 c. butter
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 pkg. chocolate chips (16 oz.)

Preheat oven 325 degrees. Cream butter and peanut butter together. Gradually add sugar, beat well, add eggs, 1 at a time, beat after each.
Sift flour with baking soda into creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Roll in 1 teaspoon in ball in hand and flatten out each cookie on greased cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes.

This one is one of my favorites...

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
8 ounces coarsely chopped semisweet chocolate
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional) or pecans (filberts, optional) (optional) or hazelnuts (filberts) (optional)
