Before we gave my son Dumex, but i noticed that he's appetite is not good. Sometimes he can finish 4-5 bottles and sometimes just 2 bottles. And dont want to eat solid food. Then we decided to switch him to Grow. Seems ok now, but it cost more than Dumex. Is it ok to mix two formula milk? For example 2 bottle needs 4 scoops, 2 Grow scoops and 2 Dumex scoops? Any side effect for that?

Thanks for all the infos. Yeah, now he's still drinking milk in bottles...but 2 max 3 times per day. Usu when taking afternoon nap & sleeping at night. He eats more carbo... rice, cereals and bread. Fish, bit of meat, more soup & no veggies. Fruits, banana, apples and grapes only. He's prenursery now. Very active. Around .9-.12m tall now and weigh 22kg. How do i know if he's getting enough nutrients from what he is eating?

At "three years old" I hope he is eating regular food? Or do you mean 3 months?? If it is 3 yrs old- Skim milk is just fine as that has all the nutirents needed wthout all the "bad fats". Your child should get the rest in his food in a balance. Why may I ask is a three year old drinking formula and from a bottle at three yrs of age?? My son is going to be 4 in a few weeks and has been eating regular since one yr pretty much. What will he eat and drink once four yrs old and five and going to pre-k or kindergarten? Or is there a medical reason he is still drinking formula? If he is a healthy three yr old skim milk is fine as long as your child eats frutis veggies and protein (regular food). He may not want to eat for he is too full on milk perhaps????

At 3 years old my son drinks 2% cows milk from a cup. He stopped using bottles when he was 14 months, it would have been earlier, but he has always been in the 10th percentile or lower for weight, so I wanted him to gett the extra nutrition.

At 3 years old your son is not a baby and should be eating and drinking like a toddler/small child, which means cups or sippy cups at best.

My kids, and now grandkids were given soy, great protein source, none of the problems *milk babies* have. I would start weaning him from the bottles, giving water in them and offering a cup the rest of the time with milk at meal times. All of the formula people and doctors say not to mix the powders together, so I would believe them.

You are not serious. I hope you do not have your 3 year old on a bottle unless it's due to a medical issue.

That should should have been off of that a LONG time ago.

He needs cow's milk or soy milk and should get his nutrients from food. Everything you eat, he can eat.

He is not a baby but a toddler

why is your three year old still on formula and bottles? He needs a sippy cup of regular milk ( whatever your family drinks is fine) or real juice, and three balanced meals and two small snacks. You have to ween him off the bottle now, or he'll be going to kindergarten with a bottle, and the kids will teese him, not to mention what that does to his teeth.

2% cows milk. I have never heard of those milks you mentioned. Why not just buy a gallon of milk and go on. If your child is 3 he needs to be weaned off the bottle. Doctor recommend that children are off the bottle soon after their first birthday.

your son is not eating because he is getting everything from the formula. give his whole milk the work down to 1% he should have been off the bottle and formula at 1 year old

Take his bottles away! I thought I read wrong! He should NOT be using bottles at all. Give him a cup and call it a day. My 3 year old son drinks nonfat cows milk. He's as healthy as a cow...no pun intended. :)
