No, it just gives you indigestion and/or heart burn. There is no specific time when you gain or don't gain weight, in the morning, at night when you are sleeping or sitting. What makes you gain weight is if you eat too much, too much or the wrong kinds of food and lead a sedentary lifestyle(no physical activity) hey you can get up and exercise right after, does that nullify the weight gained if you slept? No again.

I'm not sure if it makes you gain weight, but it is hard on your body. I know that eating makes you sleepy because the body uses more energy to digest your meal. If you lay down right after you actually are more likely to get some serious heartburn and such.

No, it's a myth. You gain weight because you are consuming more energy than you burn. It is simple thermodynamics. The laws of thermodynamics do not change due to the time of day. The time of day that you eat or when you do your exercises have no effect.

Absolutely, yes.
That is what Sumo wrestlers do. They skip breakfast. Then they have a huge meal, with lots of rice. Then go right to sleep.
Eating right before bed is one of the worst things you can do. Try not to eat within 2-3 hours before you sleep.

Not necessarily. Sleeping right after you eat slows down your metabolism, meaning, your body will absorb more of the calories and fat from the food.
