Or do they? Obviously they can come get you. But I know some counties/states, they send you a notice in the mail. What about in LA? Do they inform you, or just come out and get you?

I can only speak for the County I work in. When a warrant is issued by the Court, the police agency that receives the warrant will go and look for the person. Most local Courts will send a warning letter to the individual to let them know they need to appear in Court or a warrant will be issued. If they fail to appear, then the police will go and arrest that person and bring him before the judge for an arraignment. They can then either be released or sent to jail.

If you're getting arrested, you've done something. Nobody is going to be stupid enough to send a murderer a message that says they have a warrant for the murderer's arrest. That would be like saying, "run away now because we have a warrant for your arrest. Just wanted to let you know."

Depends on the severity of the crime. Felony they'll show up! Misdemeanor you get a summons in the mail. Unless the town is small, the local sheriffs are bored, then they'll show up, too.. :)

Up to the sheriff how he wants to handle it. If you know there's one coming, and you want to avoid embarrassment at work or home, do the right thing and call to tell them you're willing to come in and surrender yourself if they will call you when it's issued. Good luck.

Like you already have figured out, it depends on what the warrant is for. If it's traffic, they might or might not. However the day you're stopped, you will be taken to jail. Take care of it now, make payment arrangements.

If it is a misdemenor it isn't likely they will come to get you. If it is a felony and a serious one they WILL get you and extradite you back to the state and county of where the crime happened in. If you owe a fine, pay it.

They come get you....or if you are pulled over by the police, they will arrest you once they run your name and find the warrant.

If it's a relatively minor issue they may not be actively looking for you. But if you are stopped for any reason you can count on being hauled off th jail.

Normally they don't bother to tell that they are coming. That would give you time to get away; pretty dumb of them if they did that!

If they pull you over you will be arrested, otherwise unless it's serious you'll be fine. Pay it off, or you could go to jail until you make bail or pay off your ticket. I think it's 10 dollars a day in jail, so it's easier to just pay the damned thing.

It depends on the severity of the crime. For something such as murder - I imagine they'd be on your doorstep. Something less, they would just issue a capias and get you when you were pulled over for running a stop sign or something.
