Tennessee has various area codes. So it depends on which city/town you are.
The person in South Africa must dial the following:
091423your number or
091615your number or
091731your number or
091865your number or
091901your number or
091931your number

Check which area code is yours at : http://www.allareacodes.com/tennessee_area_codes.htm

To make an international call from South Africa, the South African has to first dial 09 THEN the other country's international dialling code (in the US, it will be a 1), then the area code and the rest of the number. For example, if a South African wants to make a call to someone in New York, they would have to dial:
09 1 212 ### ####.

09 = Getting an international line
1 = Foreign country to be contacted
212 = Area code of foreign city
### #### = Local number of person in the foreign city

dial his number and check the phone book--operators cost to much--I lived in Ecuador,South America--it is easier for a person in the us to dial a number in Africa or outside the country. Check with someone who is from Africa on a college campus.

In an effort to be politically correct, we've accepted that if you're black, you must be from Africa...hence, African American. It's part of the dumbing down process. Consequently, since all bipedal hominids originated from Africa, I request you call me African American too...just to mix things up a bit.
