Does it matter that the person is Chinese? Just get a gift that matches his/her interests or something that you think s/he could use.

Depends.

Are they living or going back to China? Give them something that is made in America. (I know, hard to find)

Are they born in China but now living in the US? Give them something meaningful to remember you by.

Are they Americans of Chinese desent? Give the whatever you would give anyone else.

A Gift approiate for the person. if they are chinese they may like Chinese art, but if you dont know what they like: ask them what they would like, dont be ashamed- just ask.
