.Why do people throw the race card? I see a lot of questions that start 'white people'....etc etc etc. Do hispanics/illegals/illegal supporters understand that the issue is not confined to illegals from the americas? Further, why should citizens of Mexico and central american countries recieve special preference of some kind when it comes to US immigration law? What makes them special or privileged to violate our border laws?

The usual 'class' answer I expect from you, don, but you forgot to tell me to 'get over it' again...you're slippin'...LOL

You're absolutely right. It's not about race, it's about untraceable, unknown people pouring across our borders. How do we know that all these people are just coming here for a job? How do we even know that they are all South Americans or Mexicans? How do we know that they don't want to do harm to the United States? The answer is that we don't, and that's the point.
We have to control our borders. We have to have some organized method for immigration. If we don't than we might as well bend over and kiss our butts goodbye because, sooner or later (and I believe that some already have) some are going to cross the border with the intention of doing everything they can to destroy this country.

Playing the race card is not different from what the Irish and Italians did back in the early 1900's when the US did not want more Irish or Italians in the US.

True, its stupid - illegal is illegal and that's the point. However, if the media will put it on the air, and someone will support it, wouldn't you play that card if it meant you could stay in the US vs. be kicked out? What else would you say?

Also, lets note that nobody is complaining about the illegal Canadians that cross the northern border. They maybe less than those who come from the southern border, but they too are illegal and exist. I don't hear anyone talking about them. So, maybe its both a race and illegal issue.

You are right, they use the race card like it means nothing to them. They have been programed to believe that if they call someone a racist they will automatically "win". Look at some of the questions as of late, They have tired of spewing their own hate/race rhetoric, they are now trying to diminish "whitey" by trash talking food and music...What a joke. They are not special or privileged to violate any ones borders. I saw an answer recently where the person said that Secretary Rice was a "sell out", this came from a black woman. By and large I think these people have race on the brain, and they try to use it to manipulate society.

There is no real reason. And you are so right about the race card. They hide behind it and I think it gets used way too much here in the US when it isnt even a factor. Hispanics and blacks do this all the time because society has been ok with it so far. I think its time some people face the music and be more resonsible for thier own actions and just owe up to things they may do instead of being cowards and playing the race card.
