My son is in jail now for a dui.he has done drugs also.i can't turn hem down.But my health is bad and i know he can do good ,I just hope i live to see it.

As his parent you NEED to tell him what you think. Even if it doesn't make him happy now, he is your son and he loves you. You have to do the right thing even if it means he will be mad at you for a while. You said that your heath was bad so if you aren't here in a few years who will take care of him. Do the right thing now while you still can so he can live a happy and productive life after you are gone. Do you want to leave this world with a son that does drugs and drinks? Do the right and tell him what you think now so he can have a future after you are gone. I am here for you if you need to talk just email me.

you are probably feeling that if you tell him how you feel that he will become angry with you and not speak to you and since your health is not at its best you will hate to not live and also not be on speaking terms with your son. (if you know what i am saying). I have the same feeling towards my mom, she has done drugs all her life and I am very angry towards her but cant tell her how i feel in fear that it will make her very upset and she is not in the best of health at the time now either. You are just going to have to decide what is best for you. Sorry that you have to go thru that. Good luck though, and may you live to see the day your son will improve his life.

just what are you trying too tell us here in your last statement you hope too live too see it, you say your health is bad here what exactly is wrong with your health here you dont give us a clue here other than your son screwed up and chose too be driving arpound like a maniac behind the wheel, and get caught with a dui he should have known beterr etc, this is a major problemm on our highways he could have easily killed some body and hes also doing drugiess?? and you think he can do better right and you just cant turn him downe and it sounds like your health is taking the best of you what ever is wrong with you etc, in the dark on that one, no i cant excuse your sons childless problems needs a life here and grow up fast its taking the best of you etc, literally let go of him let him sit and grow up here!!

This is a good time to tell him how you feel.
Write him a letter.
Tell him what you told us. He will be happy to
get mail, so he will read it.
You will have to stop enabling him. Try to go
to a drug and alcohol abuse class for the family of
abusers.
Stay strong.
