I wish he would put on a pair of pants when we get together. I like to dress up a little when I go out although he really doesn't take my any place worth dressing up for. I have heard the comfort thing before but come on , I think people carry it a bit too far. Why shouldn't a guy wear pants instead of shorts? Men did it for years.

It is a societal epidemic. People have dropped the art of dressing up. Nowadays, many people walk around in flip flops, t-shirts, and tattoos. There is no self respect. It is good to see you have some. Tell your b/f to dress like a sharp dressed man (aka ZZ Topp 1984) or hit the rd.

It is clear that you have tried to talk to him about this and he doesn't seem like he is willing to budge on the matter. Don't try to force him or change him into something that he isn't willing to do. He seems to be satisfied with the way he dresses so until he is ready to change its not likely that you will be able to change him. Give him time and space and he may just want to wear long pants if not don't try to push the issue because it could start something that you don't want to happen like an argument.

was he wearing shorts when you met him? sometimes you harm the relationship more when you try to change a person. you could say to him that i would like to see you in a pair of slacks because i really like your but, some type of compliment that would turn him on. but if he is really comfortable in shorts down he will go back to being who he is. we must accept a person for who the are. would you be happy if he said to you change your style? or do you think that you need no change? can you not accept him as he is? my husband wears sneakers all the time. i like to dress up occasionally to. he tried it but still he wears his sneakers even when i am dressed and it make me feel like i an with a boy or teenager, i finally had to accept the fact that he is just a casual dresser--blue jeans and sneakers.

try 2 explain that is getting kind of weird( even though its really weird) and u want 2 go 2 places where he has 2 dress up, if he loves u he will dress up 4 u, no matter how uncomfortable he is. But if he comes 2 pick u up, in shorts and a blazer than DUMP him, immediately.

Absolutely he should wear pants! I dumped a guy once for showing up for a date wearing shorts and flip flops. I'm not out strolling around in my pajamas so why should guys get to dress like bums!!

Maybe he hasn't found a pair that fit right. Tell him how badly you want to see him in pants, then take him shopping. And when he wears them, even if he looks stupid, act like he looks totally HOT.

Hey! He must have the legs for it - or believe he has. If I didn't have legs like Twiggy's arms I'd be in short pants most of the time, too.

if you can get him into a pair of pants make sure you compliment him and tell him how good he looks in them. give him a reward for wearing pants.
