You are referring to something called spot reducing: where you want fat to be removed from one specific area of the body. Unfortunately spot reducing is a myth. Every person looses body fat in a specific order. Take a look at your parents and you might get a good idea of where you will first loose you fat as you begin to diet. My belly fat is the very last thing to go for me. My legs, face, and back are where I first loose my fat. So that means that I have to loose a good deal of weight before my stomach flattens out. There is a good deal of info around for healthy foods, but unfortunately there is no one food to eat to specifically remove belly fat. Ask your mother and father where they gain and loose the majority of their weight, and take note where you are heaviest. If you belly is the fattest part of you body the chances are high that you are like me and millions of other women that loose fat in the belly last.
Putting the fat aside there are exercise that can reduce you waist size. The abdominal core pulls the tummy inward. Again here, there is a wealth of info around about how to tighten the core. One very simple and safe exercise is to get on all fours; hands and knees. Next let you stomach hang down with no tension. As you exhale pull you tummy in towards your back; up and away from the ground. Hold this for a 3 second count. Repeat the exercise 20 times for three sets. After 3 weeks or so you should see at least an inch difference or so. This varies from person to person. As a personal trainer I can tell you that you should find a gym in you area and get with a professional so you more likely to succeed faster, and with permanent results.

Exercise will help flatten the stomach...although high fiber foods that may give you gas, are more likely to cause "puffy" belly...but to get a toned/tight belly, you've got to work the muscles...I've not heard of any food that will cause your tummy to flatten.

Low fat food as you know. But the best thing is exercise.
Lie down on you back on a flat surface . flat. Now stop breathing. Put your hands upwards. Try to get up slowly. and sit. While getting make sure your legs are flat and not moving. Now while releasing your breath go back to previous position.
It will be little complicated for first couple of days then it's normal. Do it 5 times before and after bed.
And God bless you.

I have never heard of foods that flatten your stomach. I have heard that drinking lots of water and walking can be helpful.

The QUICKEST way to flatten your belly (while being temporary only..but if you have an event or something) is to drink lots of water and absolutly NO sodium. If you completly cut out salt for a few days you'll notice.
