Does my acne medicine(Tetracycline) cause teeth stains???????

Tetracycline does cause staining of teeth and bones, but only while they are developing. So it's never given to children. But if you're over the age of 12, you'll be fine - don't worry about it.

Tetracycline will not stain the teeth you have now only unerupted teeth of children. I took tetracycline for years for acne and when I had my implant surgery the surgeon commented my bones were orange. I was told that was tetracycline stains on my bones.

You bet it does! But its only over an extended period of time. They actually treated my asthma with Tetracycline when I was between 2 and 3 years old. Turned both my baby and my adult teeth black.
From what I hear though, you've got to take a LOT to have that effect.

Only if you are forming new teeth inside your gums. It does not stain already-enameled teeth. It causes stains if babies or children take it.

It can. I know it is a problem if your mother took it while pregnant. I don't know how much problem it can cause you if you take a lot. Call and ask the dentist, or your pharmacist.

Do you see any stains? If you do, then start using Whitening strips.
