How do you know that they don't? Seriously? Have you ever sat down with one of them to honestly and truely study to see what the Bible DOES say? Or are you so convinced that you are right and they are wrong and that the end of it?
This may come as a surpise to you, but some of us, actually do this! We ACTUALLY do sit down to study and do our homework so we will KNOW what the Bible says.

I would never attempt to say that I know the bible fully. I read my bible everyday and try to live according to God's word. If I answer someone's question and tell them that the bible says this or that, then I always give a reference. It's ok to discuss the bible and listen to opinions, but I never take anyone's word about what it says, I read for myself and advise others to do the same. God Bless You.

Some people are bible smart, and do know it good, they know what to look up, when you bring something up, but lack the experienece. I read the bible a few times over, but learn things the hard way, through life experiences, which is hard but good way to learn, and what a good teacher it is, especially if God's hand is at work.

Revelator,
Weigh it on the Spirit, anything that I say.
We have two main groups on that subject:
1) Those that are irritated that anyone would use scripture to proive what they are saying ( true),
2) Those who use scripture out of context ( which often include those in group 1) (true)
Irony. They ask, Tell me what you believe, but they don't want to hear it from the source. Silly is the wisdom of the world!

I've been reading it for years and still find new things that apply to my "right now" Isn't that funny how the Lord can speak to you through His word like that?. You can read it over and over and never know everything there is to know.

The Bible is the Word of God and it is just a guideline from Him. No one knows the mind of God and anyone who claims to is sadly misguided.

You can read the bible cover to cover and understand none of it, it wasn't until after Jesus came into my heart that the bible opened up and really spoke to me.

I've never met anyone that thinks that.
The better we know the fullness of God's knowledge, the greater acquainted we are with the limitations of man's.

Same reason they "think" they know anything else: they probably haven't bothered to read it themselves but just pick up things here and there, and many of these things are probably incorrect.
