funny you should ask. Actually, I love researching dogs, and I was just researching about respect. Your dog obviously loves you, but you don't love what he does. So how bout you try telling him you are not comfortable with that. Everytime he does try to hump your leg, gently push him off and say no with a dominant voice. Not a whiney kind of voice, but a strong voice. Continue doing this for a few weeks. I don't know about months. But if this advice doesn't help, then your on your own buddy :P

Make the dog get away from you each time it does this. I use a rolled up newspaper when they try to start doing this and slap the newspaper against my leg and tell them NO in a loud voice or make strange noise and it will scare them off and after a few times they don't try it any more.

She is tring to tell you she is your boss. Tell her when she does it to get down and as soon as she does give her a treat. If that doesnt work try turning away from her and keep turning away so she is unable to hump you , when she has totally finished and leaving you alone make a fuss of her, she will soon realise she doesnt get your attention if she is doing that but you give her your full attention if she doesnt do it. If not you may need to get her spayed

Dogs do this to show dominance... it is not a sexual behavor. She is trying to assert herself as a more important member of the pack that you. She will stop when you assert yourself as pack leader! So make sure she is well trained, and assert yourself by making her do tricks or simple command (like sit, or "paw") before giving her dinner or a treat.
Also, hitting her will not work, so don't do it. She will just try to assert herself mroe. Plus its nasty and she's a dog, not a human. She doesn't deserve to be hit c and she wouldn't understand anyway.

Good question, my female dog does that too. I just shoo her off my leg, but she keeps coming back.
