Depends on what kind of ritual you're performing. If you're doing just a basic one, I prefer "nature music", or something relaxing. If you need more energy for an intense one, I would suggest something with chanting and drums... something that would get your energy up. I don't think the God or Goddess really care what kind of music you listen to, as long as it makes you feel good and positive! If you like swing, use swing. If you like dance music, use dance music! That'll for sure get your energy up and going!
Blessed Be!

You should listen to music that you like and find some that remind you of your ritual. I personally find that soft jazz or some modern interpretation of celtic music works for me.
However; if Ozzy Ozbourne works, use it. Remember, it is the thought and the intention that counts, not the words or the music itself.
Do as ye will, but harm none.

There are some great native american spirit drum CD's available. Also Lewellyn produces many good nature and new age cd's that work well. You should listen through first to make sure there aren't any jarring changes before using it in ritual

It really depends on your own personal tastes. Nonvocal, soft, New Age and Celtic music are often best. That's if you really like music with ritual. Personally I don't...it distracts me.

Lorena McKennitt has a song called the Mystic's Dream and other old folk songs which are very relaxing and are certainly appropriate to a pagan tradition.

I've got to second the opinion of, "It depends." There's a whole bunch of things that are good for just mellowing out prior to meditation... my recommendation would be to avoid things with lyrics (or, at least, ones you can understand). "Natural sounds" tends to work good, various ethnic musics (depending upon your religion), basic drumming CDs, etc.

... Okay...
Enya and Enigma have some REALLY good music. An excellent example of this would be their song they worked on together called "Return to Innocence". Also, Enya's "Waterfall on Piano" is helpful.
Another good group to listen to is Adiemus, especially their song "Adiemus".
^__^ Hope I was helpful.
If you have AIM, send me an e-mail, and I can AIM you some of the music. :)
