You do want to use a special diet for your bird. The female will need a higher diet of calcium or her eggs can break inside and she will die. One of the most important things is to have lots of clean water.

No I do not feed laying pellets to my hens. These are made for chickens and larger birds that are breed to lay egg all the time.

Give them fresh fruit and vegges with mashed boiled egg daily. Make sure there is a cuttle bone for calcium or that you add some calcium additive to the water. How long have you been waiting? For a first time hen it can take up to three weeks before eggs appear, and around ten days is normal. Time difference with egg laying can also depend on the bond the birds had to start with, if they are new to each other it can take longer.

Assuming you have the right sex of birds- males will not lay eggs, just take my word on it- but in the pellets they have growth harmones that cause them to lay eggs.

They need a privacy box. They will not lay out in the open.
