I have the utmost respect for people who can switch from language to language without any problem. Once, I was on a tour in Spain, and the tour guide gave the tour in 4 different languages due to the group we were with....English, Spanish, French, and German. Pretty cool!
My DH speaks Mandarin fluently mostly with his family, but he speaks English perfectly too, and you'd never know he wasn't born in the U.S.

I do speak 5 languages fluently ( Italian, Greek ,English,Albanian,French) understand and speak well Spanish. Portuguese, German, plus I can read Bulgarian, wherever I go I'd like to learn the language of that country.Its one of my hobbies

Im fluent in English and semi-fluent in Spanish. I dont know if I could survive in a Spanish speaking country, but I know enough to interact with Spanish speaking patients at work.
