The funny part is that the Bible actually has laws on masturbation written in there. Although, I'm sure we don't abide by all of them.
First, during wartime (basically a time with no women around)masturbation was allowed to deal with the lust we as men experience. In the Bible, the young man suppossed to go outside of the town and dig a deep hole in the ground. He is to masturbate in the hole and then cover the hole back up with the dug up dirt, a symbolic burial if you will. He was suppossed to do this during the day and could not return into the camp until evening. Would it be in the Bible if unhealthy? Fornicating and exposing oneself to the myriad of STDs in the world is more unhealthy. Hormones are not lost during the process. However, there are chemicals released in the brain that do lead to a sense of satisfaction.
Also, the bible recognized the wet dream called nocturnal emissions. It gave rules for this in order to cleanse one's self. Christ came to abolish sin. This act was allowed in certain instances under the Law.
So how about that for a Biblical answer? I was surprised myself to find that in there one day! I was just reading the Bible to read it and ran across that.
So many preachers and "holy" people will say that it is a sin because sexual acts should only be done in marriage. The point of masturbation is to avoid acts of fornication. The wartime reference for ritual masturbation is important. The point in wartime is to be focused and of one mind in defeating the enemy. If someone is preoccupied with needing release, he cannot bring his mind to where it needs to be.
Furthermore, references to Onan in the Bible as the Lord being against masturbation are misused. The Bible says that Onan was commanded to lay with with recently deceased brother's wife in order to continue his brother's line through her. He did not want to father any children that would have have his name and pulled out at the last minute in order not to impregnate his brother's wife. Hence, he defiled the woman and the marriage bed. He was slain for disobedience in a way that defiled another person.
In the end, read the following references and make up your own mind on what God is telling you. After all, the Bible does say in Philippians Chapter 2 "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."

What do you mean by biblically? Anyway, no you won't run out of semen. Women are born with all the eggs they'll ever have. Men just keep processing the stuff. Hence the reason we get $10,000 adn egg and you get $20 a gallon at a clinic. Masturbation is not unhealthy. Conversely, it's natural and normal for both males and females to explore and learn their bodies.
Chemical reactions happen within your body after an orgasm/ejaculation. You're not so much losing hormones as just relaxing after a physical release caused, in part, by hormones.
hope this answers a few basic questions. Whoever is telling you that masturbation is wrong, dirty, etc. is belying a natural and normal pysical part of our being. Most people do it and are probably lying if they say they don't.

Basically, mastrubation is only specifically mentioned once in the OT (Oman) in a negative sense. Difficult to draw any solid conclusions there. But the main sin involved is not the physical act, but the lust of the heart that motivates it rather than "dealing with your vessel in self-control".
The fact you're having a hard time with it lately (which all men struggle with, if we're honest) demonstrates that the war is really between self-control for the sake of the glory of God and habitual sinful motivations (overpowering lust) that happens to manifest itself in particularly compelled behavior.
As far as the other questions:
No, you can't "run out" of sperm, any more than you can "run out" of saliva by spitting every day.
I've never seen a medical study that concluded the physical act of mastrubation was unhealthy, so can't comment definitively there.
Never seen anything about losing hormones during ejaculation, but there have been medical studies documenting the adrenaline release and other biochemical factors that lead to the "calmer" or "physically spent" feelings after climax. That's part of the reason for the old boxing trainer's mandate of "no sex before a fight...it weakens the legs."
Hope this helps.

No, you'll never run out of semen. If you're running low, you'll lose your ability to maintain an erection and/or ejaculate.
Masturbation is not unhealthy, but if you do it too much then it will be more difficult for you to satisfy a woman when you do find a partner. Don't always do it exactly the same way, with exactly the same amount of pressure, otherwise you might get conditioned to only respond to that exact type of stimulus.

I asked that question too , " Do guys run out of sperm" I've got many answers but , I found two , that were very good to me . Your body keeps reproducing sperm , and you only can't ejaculate is when either you have a surgery mistake or a illness. Other than that , you won't run out of sperm . I think , myself that masturbation is just exploring yourself .

can't run out of sperm...if you ejaculate too much your body just needs time to rebuild more.
masturbation is not unhealthy unless it becomes or is a major obsession, where it's all you can think about and try to do 24hrs a day, or your doing it in public,or you want to masturbate more than have a healthy sexual relationship..then it's unhealthy, if you've reached that point talk to a doctor.

another question: is flogging yourself just like flogging yourself?
as far as running out of sperm, I think you're more likely to run out of steam before you lose the ability to impregnate.
the reason males feel calmer afterwards is because the nuts are empty, a desirable situation somewhat similar to evacuating the bowels in as much as most people prefer that condition.

My husband and I have had this discussion with other people. We think it's very healthy (and natural) as long as it does not interfere / hurt our relationship. It doesn't. You aren't going to run out of sperm. God is love. God wants his children to love themselves and to be happy. You should love your body and not be ashamed. Sexuality is not bad. There isn't anything in the Bible to refute masterbation.

Biblically things are what you feel in you that are right and match the Bible.
The way things are, masturbation is the best thing for any body to do, as oppose to actual sex.
It will not hurt you in any sense.
So do the jerk, do the jerk, jerk, jerk!

M-ing yourself is not a sin, in and of itself, but if youi think of anyone when you do it, that is.
Matthew 5:28
But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
